Samsung galaxy tab 4 downloaded app not visible

I have had to resort to using the kids mode app. It's not great as you have to give them the device pin code otherwise they can't use it without you. I've also had to invest in the Qustodio app to monitor ans restrict access. It's quite good actually. But overall a poor experience and a step backwards.

I hope it's resolved soon although Samsung support said its a limitation in the Android version so I doubt they will do anything about it. The problem is only with newly-installed apps. They don't show up in the restricted user's list of apps settings screen for the restricted user in the owner's settings. Do you have a screenshot of that please? As Samsung support say that isn't the case. This would help prove our point! I have two screenshots here: one is from the account that existed previously.

If you go into settings and select apps, you'll see all your apps that are missing from the home screen and main app menu are still installed.

Also, if you haven't disabled your side menu for quick access from the home screen you can place your finger on the right side of your screen and swipe left. This will show you your recently closed apps only two or three as well as a shortcut menu. At the bottom left of this menu, you can open your apps and they will all be there with their icons.

However, in my case, the problem was simply the game launcher app. I noticed that it was only game apps that were hidden missing icons. I opened game launcher from the app menu and opened settings. It was set to only show games in the launcher as a default setting. I had to change this so my games would be visible on the home screen and main app menu.

This fixed the issue. So check your app settings. Back Answers Index. Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2, So i did the following as it suggested online: 1 I went to About Device, Software Update, and updated my tablet as well as selected automatic updates for future updates.
